why didn't you just clipper it all the way upto the horse shoe?
isisbenny404 (1 year ago)
Depends on how much weight or graduation you want to leave behind, In this case I thought it would complement his features and bone structure better if I connected by building weight. There's no wrong way to connect a haircut, it's about the look you want to achieve. If you desire a cut without weight, you connect clipper over comb with your comb vertical through out the head. On a haircut where I don't want to have a gradual build up of weight I often blend clipper over comb without sectioning.

How may you call this hair cut?
isisbenny404 (1 year ago)
I know how to do a little of everything, but that isn't necessarily good enough for clients. I have buddies who are barbers that can do a bald fade in 30 or so minutes. It takes me over an hour to do a bald fade so I rather send them to one o my colleagues who specializes in it. Hope this answer helps. The closest I usually fade to is a 0000, or 00000.

I'm sorry but the back needed to be blended a lot more.

In terms of how barbering goes, this haircut technique uses horizontal lines to build weight on the head form. It will build graduation because of this. I only use this technique when a growth pattern or cowlick would stick up from blending instead of cutting it even shorter. If you want to see a video with regular clipper over comb technique and blending without a horseshoe section I have another tutorial up on this channel. Barbers don't seem to like this one because they think that the presence of weight is bad for a mens haircut. However, I can point to different eras of hair fashion where we left weight in haircuts and things were "unblended" so to speak. All about what look you are going for.

Hi thank you for the tutorial. what is the name of the razor u used for the neckline?
carlitos (2 years ago)
Thank you for your reply! Much appreciated.
isisbenny404 (2 years ago)
Hi Carlitos, the razor I used on the neckline is a product that can be purchased online or at Sally's. They are eyebrow shaping razors, but also can be used for nape. Fromm and Feather make larger ones that are my favorites.
