Monsters and shootouts abound in this animated western comedy following an overconfident kid, his apathetic partner, and a spider-girl with some serious boundary issues. What will it take to save CliffSide from some rather unconventional evil in the surrounding cliffs, and will our hero ever actually learn anything?
Episode 1 - "Pilot"
Getting tangled up with an excitable spider-monster named Cordie who suffers from a validation complex to rival his own, Waylon quickly learns his bold gunslinger talk leads to horrifying actions when put into practice by his new super-fan. Now he’s got some explaining to do and a western standoff or two to perform if he hopes to scrape by without learning anything from this whole ordeal.

Cowboy supernatural cartoon. Feels like there might have been an anime like this and if there isn't still pretty cool that you made this. Kind of reminds me of Rango who also was just a big mouth and really not a good shoot
This is actually amazing, the humor is great, the animation is childish altough the characters and show clearly isn't with all the scary and bizarre characters. The might be one of the best "indie" animated series I've seen in a long time and it really made my day! You guys should really get this show somewhere more than YouTube (as we all know it isn't the most stable and rewarding platform for amazing original content creators like you). I really hope this show goes places and I wish you good luck on your journey.
NOW THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A PILOT.
So much potential... gravity falls was weird but this is cool, if you're having trouble with monster inspirations look up cryptids, just because it's a one off now doesn't mean it has to stay that way, promote it any way you can and this could be easy money for ya. Competitions...anything
Man, Waylon and Cordie remind me of someone, but I can't exactly figure it out...
*inner safe karate kid and magical princess with a wand awaken*
At this point you might have figured it out
Honestly Jo might be the next Janna if they had similar personalities.
Ok so the character designs for Death and Cordie are amazing. Death looks genuinly terrifying, and Cordie is now my waifu, she is so freaking adorable I am in love.
The music was phenominal, especially for a pilot, and the voice acting was incredible too, another reason why i love Cordie is her voice.
The animation has its ups and downs like all cartoons, but its ups are really freaking good, and the us of CG isn't jarring like so many other 2D cartoons and anime that use it. Theres no "Hey guys, Im being attacked by bad CG" moments in this episode.
The story was overall fun, and was able to maintain a certain level of grit without being edgy. Also the use of real guns in a cartoon is something hardly any cartoon not on adult swim can get away withz. it manages to have a dark world while still being fun and lighthearted.
Overall I give it a 10/10, and while I admit im probably biased, I think this is a show mst people will love and I cannot wait for the next episode.
