Hi Sharrah! 😁 first of all I think you were very brave to take that meds cabinet out of the wall !! 2ndly, great video addressing really common eye sores in a lot of bathrooms!! Do you have any tips on how to apply the silicone around the sink nice and evenly? Ours looked a bit messy in the end. Thin in some places and a bit too thick in others. Also what are the pros and cons to using spray paint as opposed to painting on with a brush? Thanks so much for your show and useful tips. Your flat and decor is lovely !!!!!!

you should wear googles and mask while spray painting
Gwynn Smith (1 year ago)
Great ideas! I know the tape on the mirror edge will be replaceable but I wonder if you're going to have to do it often with all the condesation and cleaning. you could also glue a trim around the edges or even mod podge some glitter edging.
Anne Johnson (2 years ago)
Great suggestions. For the mirror, I've discovered this spray paint called Mirror Effects. It's not quite as inexpensive as the electrical tape, but at under $10 definitely not a budget buster.

This is worthy for any to-do list, have you seen some of the awesome projects found in Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible? as seen on his website. Thanks for the video, bookmarked!

I noticed you don't have a window in your bathroom...How do you prevent moisture and mould from happening? I live in a place where its very humid and my bathroom starts to get mouldy all the time and it's soooooo hard to maintain it. :(

a giant pretty mirror with no medicine cabinet would have looked more modern.
C Clarke (3 years ago)
I loved your little bathroom diy's even the color! What about washi tape for the mirror edges or even some of the new duct tape prints and colors? For all of you that criticize everything from the color to type of tape, why don't you put out your own diy video?

You did a really good job.  It made such a nice change for your bathroom! The only thing I would have done different is removed the old caulking then wiped the area down with bleach and let it dry then put down your new caulking.  But a nice video to watch.  Thank you and Blessings.
Alex (3 years ago)
Great, maybe I will try😉

I loved this video!!  I would have never thought to take out the TP holder and paint it!!  I love the coordination with the medicine cabinet.  These are great ideas for a sharp, new look on a budget.  I'd sooo much rather do that and save the difference for something I really need, or want!!  Kudos to you guys and your creativity! We tried to get a mint green color but it was IMPOSSIBLE to find the exact shade I wanted! ;-/ So I settled with aqua and love it!

Should have gotten a more bright/lighter minty color if they're going for blue-green. Right? ;)

Gorgeous colour that you've picked!  People get so worried about leaving Rental properties as they are and have the "It's not my house so why bother" mentality, but you've got to live with it! Simple fixes create flare and make it yours, plus add value to the property. Quite a few landlords are thankful for things like this. <3
Sarah Carr (3 years ago)
+PhenomenallyFlyDiva4 so many landlords will work with you as well. they can tell you what will cost you to change
PhenomenallyFlyDiva4 (3 years ago)
I completely agree! I was shopping at a thrift store and got some great finds when a woman walked up to me and said, "I was gonna get that but I live in an apartment so why bother." Uh...cause it's your HOME. I like apartment living and make any changes I like to make it mine.
Live Your Style (3 years ago)
I couldn't agree with you more!! I rent at this place and I think we are totally upgrading the space for them FOR FREE!!
