Looks amazing, good job! Nice to work with your brother.
John Doe (2 months ago)
Great job, just a word of advise . its best to paint your planks first instead after installation and that is because as you can see your lines fade because of the fresh paint that made its way in some of the gaps. so some of the lines don't look consistent... But great video guys! thumbs up
Ashley Freehan (4 months ago)
How long are the planks? If you answered this already I apologize.
Christina (4 months ago)
Amazing!!

OBS! EYE PROTECTION WHEN USING POWER NAIL DEVICES, PLEASE!
plsjones (6 months ago)
FYI that's not shiplap. That's a plank wall. Shiplap has no nails and a notch that makes it waterproof.
Sabrina Parker (6 months ago)
Two people can fit n that bed...😕
Manal Javid (8 months ago)
Barewood looked way better
Imran Alwageeh (8 months ago)
the paint bridged between some of the planks.
Rust Assured Reclaiming (9 months ago)
Great Job! Shara! Also you are super attractive
Brett Manuel (1 year ago)
I really like the wall and the whole room look (similar to what we have in our daughters room). I watch heaps/all of your clips ... so ... Just wondered how your mum (mom) coped with the lack of symmetry of lamps and pictures either side of bed :-) LOL!
Giovanny Ramirez (1 year ago)
Should have painted the wall first so the gaps wouldn't should dark
LaurelBlue (1 year ago)
Looks FABulous!! I would do a bedroom wall... you make it look so do-able... thanks!
EvendimataE (1 year ago)
really level it? what if your ceiling is not perfect...still level the plywood strip? LOL.....just nail it there and adjust at the bottom
Jeza Sunga (1 year ago)
wow nice ❤❤❤ imma try it in my room
Hadassah Immanuel (1 year ago)

she looks like emma roberts' older sister lol
Jeff Figueroa (1 year ago)
you did go over the electrical outlet and how you deal with that...just saying.
Meg Carpenter (1 year ago)
Where did you buy the bedside tables from? Or did you make them? They're just what I'm looking for x
realitychange (1 year ago)
Thing is if you left it the bare wood ,, the spaces between the planks would not be as high lighted which is what gives the wall that --- look ! God I grew up in a time when if you could see the planks in the walls you were living in a shack
tam mez (1 year ago)
Nice job, guys! I'm sure you make your momma so proud! I loved the whole room and the Behr colors --very soothing and classy.

DubGllama (1 year ago)
where did you buy the ship lap? thanks
Diehard Ch1ef (1 year ago)
what kind of white did you use? Satin? semi or high gloss?
Janice Woods (1 year ago)
Love this look, the light color added the look the room needed.
Laurie Pye (1 year ago)
great look but where can i buy the wood? cause i've never seen it that thin
Laurie Pye (1 year ago)

Matrix Watkins (1 year ago)
home depo 4x8 sheet 5mm
Mona Morgan (1 year ago)
Good idea is to paint the slats first then just do a touch up after hanging it
cyndi toddsause (1 year ago)
much better for the headbord
v12tommy (1 year ago)
I like the idea, but I think the bare wood looked so much better
asianographer (2 years ago)
Loved it! Just saw the same fragrance his wife/or your bro's using - DAISY by Marc Jacobs.
Teqelia Bradford (2 years ago)
For sure, I would use "diamond" though. I love all things sparklie.
Tarishi Panwar (2 years ago)
You look like a grown up version of Emma Roberts :P
Aldrich Uyliong (2 years ago)
Awesome. I personally would have left the plywood naked but this looks cool.
Nick Lovgren (1 year ago)
I don't think their sponsor likes that idea.
Carla Diaz (2 years ago)
Omg I'm doing this but dark wood color❤️
Helena Hayes (2 years ago)

Julianne Tully (2 years ago)
Love your DIY tutorials Sharrah. Keep up the great work. SF
Sweat if you didn't want to paint it? How do you finish it over the nails? A wood colored putty?
Gareth Dirlam (2 years ago)
It's a nice project. with good results. but I am afraid it is not shiplap. but good on you for showing the DIY.
Rob M. (2 years ago)
Why not use 8" boards?
A. Christopher (2 years ago)
really like the combination of grey, white and wood. and of course the accessories in there.
Pete Linster (2 years ago)
We are thinking of doing this around our fireplace in our living room space. Many great ideas here in our presentation. And maybe a feature wall in our bedroom behind our headboard for a nostalgic look. TFS. See my Christmas videos of my villages too. I did "LIKE" yours. I hope you do likewise.
Lorraine Casino (2 years ago)
I love it! How can i do it in concrete walls?
Lorraine Casino (2 years ago)
Thank you. ..!
Gareth Dirlam (2 years ago)
I would suggest either furring strips (doing it old school) or just use a pail of FRP adhesive troweled to the boards.
Jeanne Besselman (2 years ago)
love it!
ryanern18 (2 years ago)
Thankfully with Behr it only took 6 coats.
Pat Pierce (2 years ago)
shiplap isn't suppose to have a perfect looking paint job...Your missing the point of shiplap if you think that..
Rosario Lopez (2 years ago)
White
Mariam Alabkari (2 years ago)
Love it!
Ken-Mar Rescue (2 years ago)
On all Robeson videos, would it be possible to start including estimated resource costs (time, materials, etc.) of projects please?  That way the viewer can plan accordingly when trying to replicate.   Thank you and keep up the good work!
Alca Bringer (2 years ago)
I'll just put clear varnish on it. ^_^
Bunny White (2 years ago)
Looks great but I really wish you would have provided more info on the 6 inch plywood planks. How thick are they? Did you buy a 4'x8' plywood panel and have the store cut it down? I'm having a real hard time finding the right product online.
Alicia Leeke (2 years ago)
Shiplap can be hard to find sometimes. They have it at Lowe's in planks both rough and more finished which is already whitewashed. Interestingly though, the white ones were not in the lumber section, but with the decorative wood panels that are finished. Good luck!
Mauro angst (2 years ago)
I would look great too if you just stained all the wood and just let it like that, with no paint. But also in white I looks great
Rachel Hubbell (2 years ago)
I'd love whitewash faux shiplap walls in my entryway and living room! Sooo pretty
Alejandro Santiago (2 years ago)
loved it

deepa sajeevan (2 years ago)
hm nice..must try
ItsDeb (2 years ago)
You answered my, "What should I do with that awful wall in my den?" question! Plus it's a great excuse to use a nail gun!
Ashley Roth (2 years ago)
How do you keep paint from the cracks?
Ashley Roth (2 years ago)
+Jim Thelen thanks so much!!
Jim Thelen (2 years ago)
+Ashley Roth  You should keep a sharp knife and a wet rag handy while you're painting. Use the knife to run through the spaces that get filled by the paint. This will keep the spaces between the boards even all the way across the room and not have some of the spaces seem to disappear. The wet rag will allow easy wiping of the rag between rows. This is how I did it on my kitchen wall and it came out great.
Ashley Roth (2 years ago)
+Lucy DeMichele thank u!#
Lucy (2 years ago)
+Ashley Roth I do a lot of paining projects. I would use a thin nap roller, with multiple light coats. Hope this helps.
Estaneni Jai (2 years ago)
Unwind is white lol
mitchell baxter (3 months ago)
Estaneni Jai but the pretty name still got the customer to buy it lol
Paul (2 years ago)
Also, most important, where did you get the plywood cut in sheets like that?
Lucy (2 years ago)
+Paul B If you know what kind of wood you want, and take all the measurements Lowe's will cut the wood for you. You can rent most tools at any hardware store for a minimal price. Good luck with your project.
Paul (2 years ago)
You sort of forgot to mention the saw... did you rent that too? How long did it take to do this project from start to finish?
NIX (2 years ago)
should of left the raw wood colour
Couture Creator (2 years ago)

This made such a big change in the look of the room. Love it!
Amber Lee (2 years ago)
It looks wonderful!!! If it were me though I would have left the wood bare. It was beautiful!
ItsDeb (2 years ago)
+Ambrly I was thinking maybe whitewashing so you could still see the grain.
Alice 2 (2 years ago)
Like....Dinning room.

Paul Ortega (2 years ago)
How cool would a B&W combo look, too! Beautiful work, guys!
Betty Young (2 years ago)
Love the look, thanks for the help.
LynZ619 (2 years ago)
Woah our rooms nearly look the same because instead of white ship lap I have a dark grey and my headboard is white
Byrdand Vellum (2 years ago)
Very nicely done. It would be even better if you indicted the type of planking used and where it can be bought since it looks to be a specialty item. An info update would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!
Cameron Cummins (2 years ago)
I have been looking for the perfect gray for MONTHS and I LOVE this!
Azrael Redeemed (2 years ago)
Cool look, Im thinking about trying it out on two full, facing walls in my "Pseudo -Office- ArtStudio".. Pseu-dio? But yeah I have two opposing walls that are quite possibly going to be in frame. so this would for sure add some mych needed class and character to an ApaRTmeNt! so my question, what changes can I make from your Original instruction to retro fit this to apartment living where i can make huge changes. And if i plan on having a mounted monitor so tv on the wall should i pre drdill any holes needed, or just drill and mount normally has if the shiplap facade was the actual wall? thank you and sorry im a talker!!! ;D
Margaret Rosin (2 years ago)
I love this look! I am planning on doing this in a guest room. I have never seen plywood in small planks and so thin. Where did you purchase it? It was beautiful un-painted as well. Must have been some nice type of plywood. Please let us know.
Chopperdoll (2 years ago)
I love this!
Alexandria Brisco (2 years ago)
How thick of plywood was used?
ARMOSOLUTIONS (2 years ago)
I love the thin sheets of wood. What store were you able to find it in? Or did you have them cut the huge sheets they sell in that size into those size pieces?
Dr. Nicholas Pratt (1 year ago)
ARMOSOLUTIONS 4'x8' sheets of underlayment cost $12-15 a sheet.
Johnston Journeys (2 years ago)
Love this! You have such an awesome personality!!! Love your videos! -The Travel Junkies
I see so much stuff from target! I have a minor obsession with target. and pier one. and tj maxx. I would have an obsession with home goods if they had a stupid location in my stupid city.
