This video is made up of three separate French Partisan skits from the Rockford WWII reenactment on September 22 and 23, 2012. The first skit was from Sunday, and it is a town battle pitting the Germans against a French Resistance ambush. The second skit is an intel snatch off of a German motorcycle, and the final skit is a high ranking German officer assassination. Skit 1 @ 0:00 Skit 2 @ 3:11 Skit 3 @ 3:44

Saturday afternoon's Downed Pilot Skit at Rockome Garden's WWII Reenactment (in Illinois) on June 29, 2013. The whole skit probably lasted about 15 minutes, but I cut the footage down to about 6 minutes as a highlight reel. Most of the footage is just the initial search for and capturing of the pilots, and the shaking down of the French Partisans.

Scenes from the Fort de Chartres WWII Event (also called "A Salute to Our Heroes") on October 4, 2014 near Prairie du Rocher, Illinois. The site is located south of St. Louis, on the east bank of the Mississippi river, in Illinois. This was the first year for the event, and a good time was had, even though the day was a bit chilly ranging from 43 to 53 degrees with a bit of wind.

This antique tractor pull was at the Prairie Land Heritage Museum's Steam Show and Fall Festival Days in Jacksonville, Illinois on September 28, 2013. There were a lot more tractors in the tractor pull than shown in the video, but unfortunately I didn't get to the pull early enough so I missed some of the lower weight classes. So mostly you'll see Farmall and Oliver pulling (there is also a Wards, MM, and John Deere). Quite a few guys got front wheels off the ground this year! Also, at the very end of the video is a small clip of a steam engine running down by the powered saw.

I kept both songs together since they flow so smoothly. Very impressive songs; I had never heard Beelzefuzz before this show, but their demo I picked up is fantastic.

Nothing too major, just a new waterpump and some tune-up in the carburetor and hydraulic system. It still idles a bit rough, but since they don't make replacement carburetors, I'm happy with what I've got. The first half of the video is me just taking it for a lap, the second half is me pulling an old rotary hoe out of the tree line where it has been sitting for the past 4 years. All of the rains had caused it to sink in a bit more than I had realized...

This is the Sunday Ostfront town battle at Midway Village in Rockford, IL on September 27, 2015 around 3PM. The scenario is similar to the Saturday one, only the 3rd SS is staged closer to the cafe up the street and the Panhard 178 has been captured and deployed by the Russians against the Germans.

I borrowed a brush grubber to try it out before buying one and was impressed. I tried it out on two trees. The first was this one, a nasty locust tree with a forked trunk (I attached to the bigger half) that it yanked out root and all. Not a huge tree, by any stretch, but I rather not just saw it off at the ground. The second was a sassafras tree that was twice as big as this one at the base, but unfortunately it just split that tree off at the ground (not it's fault, granted, those trees always seem brittle). An impressive device, but it definitely wears you out to hook and unhook and use it, though, so I'd recommend two people to run it. My Allis Chalmers WD seems to have plenty of horsepower to use it, thankfully, it walked everything I threw at it out at around 1/4 to 1/3 throttle in first gear. Definitely going to order one of these for myself.

A clip of me playing one guitar part for the Wrath of Ragnarok song House of the Unholy. It has been written for about a year or two, but hasn't made it "out", so to speak. I can't take credit for this one, except for maybe a riff or so, as my esteemed bandmate was the genius behind this. If you watch past the end of the song (circa the 7 minute mark), there's two small pieces from a band practice from June 2010 I've included on here of Alternate Reality (from Deflagration) and Remnants (a song we've since decided to scrap, I believe). I did make a few mistakes, though. Here is what the complete version of the song should sound like (with guitar, bass, and drums -- but no vocals): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hks5aTTF-1Y Doom on.

Durin's Bane is a song from the 2007 material on The Pouring of the Seventh Vial (often mentioned as the best song off the album, and I agree). Much thanks to my bandmate, as he is the one that wrote this particular song. Also, my apologies for the mistakes and timing issues, I was playing along to the computer but couldn't hear it over my guitar (and this was the first take, so I just stuck with it). Also, the camera vibration is only really at the start of the video, I didn't have the camera set very level so when I walked by it, it started to shake. The original version was written and recorded in C#, but for this video I recorded it in E. Trying to record in C# was leading to too much "bwoooom" and unwanted string noise. Doom on.

This is some video I took from the Rockome Gardens WWII Reenactment in Arcola, Illinois on July 30, 2011 of the Cafe Village Skit. The skit was performed twice and went down a little differently each time (and I videoed them from different vantage points), so the first one starts at 0:00 and the encore skit starts at around 2:22. The skit centers around a French Resistance surprise attack on the German Soldiers at this Village Cafe.

Nothing spectacular, but a small snippet of a summer 2007 guitar jam I had with my uncle at an outdoor party. Crowd of about 50 people. Set was probably only 30 minutes of material where we just jammed some blues songs, and then we just came up with this little diddy on the spot. I kind of liked it. One of those "in the moment" things, I guess. This was my first time playing in front of a group of people, and I was a bit nervous.

Don't confuse "my top 10" with "the top 10" Wrath of Ragnarok riffs... And I say "in D" because that's what my guitar is tuned to. These are the best ones of the riffs that I wrote for the band (Lee has done plenty of fantastic ones, I assure you... Probably enough to knock all but one or two of mine out of the top 10). I made myself pick at least one from every "album" (and I use that term loosely), including ones from our unreleased material. I will list the song name that the riff is from, and then list the album it came from in parenthesis. It's on a per-riff basis, so you'll see the same song pop up more than once, though it goes in album-order. 10. Turn To Nightfall (Ragnarok) 9. The Royal Conflict (Naberius) 8. Death's Touch (The Pouring of the Seventh Vial) 7. Ghosts in the Attic (The Pouring of the Seventh Vial) 6. The Book of Lies (Deflagration) 5. The Death Chamber (Deflagration) 4. The Book of Lies (Deflagration) 3. The Death Chamber (Deflagration) 2. Hail to the King (?????) 1. Untitled Song 1 (?????) 0. Untitled Song 2 (?????) Hopefully you'll see at least #2 show up on our new Wrath of Ragnarok material sometime by the end of 2010... Also, don't mind doom cat. She was just lurking around waiting for some turkey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhTHMafs7E4 And my apologies for what is always shoddy outro work on all of my videos (and that one riff that was thrown in there just to show my version of how I play it). I'll try to knock it off one of these days.

The Death Chamber is a song from the 2007 material on Deflagration (not as popular as the stand out track Alternate Reality, but oh well). My bandmate and I pretty much did equal parts of writing the riffing in this song. My one regret about this video is that the stupid camera had auto-focus on, so it kept beeping and focusing and I didn't know it until I had recorded the whole thing (my sincere apology for that, it is angering). Anyway, I decided to record it in D because that's what we wrote it in, even though it sounds okay in E. Brings out the doom metal quality to it, I believe.
